Eileen McKusick is the founder of Biofield Tuning and a pioneer in the study of the biofield, electric health, and therapeutic sound. Through decades of clinical practice, she developed the Biofield Anatomy Map and designed the specialized tuning forks used in sessions today.
You'll rest fully clothed on a heated massage table. Sessions begin with a few grounding breaths, then weighted tuning forks are placed on specific body points. An energetic grounding point below the feet is gently activated for stability, followed by the point above the head. A pendulum helps identify stagnant areas of the biofield, and tuning forks interact with the field from the outer edge inward. Sessions close with a gentle sound sequence that helps the system settle.
Distance sessions follow the same process as in-person sessions, just over Zoom. You're encouraged to settle in wherever you feel most at ease, lying down or seated comfortably. Cameras are on at the start and close of the session, and off during the tuning itself. Most clients find virtual sessions just as effective and often more convenient.
Biofield Tuning works through the aether, a subtle, non-physical medium that connects all things. The practitioner tunes into your energy field using intention and sound, similar to tuning a radio frequency. Vibrations from the tuning forks interact with your biofield regardless of physical distance. Many clients are surprised by how real and tangible the effects feel during a virtual session.
Many people notice a meaningful shift after one session. For deeper or longer-standing patterns, a series of three sessions spaced 1-2 weeks apart provides a strong foundation. Everyone's process is unique, and some clients choose to continue with ongoing sessions for continued support and maintenance.
Yes. Biofield Tuning is generally safe to use alongside medical care, therapy, and other holistic modalities. It is intended to complement, not replace, medical or therapeutic treatment. If you have questions about your specific situation, feel free to reach out or mention it during your exploratory call.
Staying well hydrated before and after a session is one of the most helpful things you can do. Epsom salt baths or foot soaks may also support the body's natural detox process. Grounding practices like spending time barefoot on earth, resting, or moving at a slower pace can help the nervous system settle and integrate the work more fully.
A cleansing response is a natural part of the healing process as the body releases stored stress and emotional tension. It usually passes within 1-3 days. You might notice fatigue, emotional waves, digestive changes, mild headaches, or dizziness. Less common symptoms include skin changes, increased thirst, or flu-like feelings. These are signs the body is moving energy, not a cause for alarm.
Biofield Tuning is not recommended during pregnancy, acute or advanced illness, for those with controlled seizure disorders, after a recent concussion (wait three months for head tuning), with electrical medical implants like pacemakers, during active chemotherapy treatment, or in end-of-life care situations. If you're unsure whether it's appropriate for you, your free exploratory call is a great place to discuss your specific situation.
In-person sessions are held in Kelly's private studio in Minnesota. A prior virtual exploratory session is required for all new clients before booking in-person. One important note: the studio is home to a cat, so in-person sessions are not suitable for those with cat allergies. Virtual sessions remain fully effective and are recommended if this is a concern.
You don't need clarity or a specific goal to begin. Many clients come in knowing only that something feels off, that they're tired, disconnected, or running on fumes. I start with what your body is ready for. The free exploratory call is specifically designed for this kind of conversation.
Please provide at least 12 hours' notice before your scheduled session for a full refund. I understand that life can be unpredictable and am happy to reschedule whenever I have enough notice to do so.
